Good Earth is a member of the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA), the world’s largest association of travel professionals. ASTA’s members include travel agents and companies whose products they sell such as tours, cruises, hotels, car rentals, etc. They are the leading advocate for travel agents, the travel industry and the traveling public.
The Better Business Bureau (BBB) is a non-profit organization focused on advancing marketplace trust, consisting of 112 independently incorporated local BBB organizations in the United States and Canada, coordinated under the Council of Better Business Bureaus (CBBB).

The Tanzania Association of Tour Operators (TATO) was established in 1983 to promote and represent individual tour operators in the country and at the international level. The organization acts as a united front to advance the interest of the private tour operators by engaging the government through dialogue in promotion of tourism, at the same time acting to promote high tourist service delivery, both nationally and internationally. Good Earth Tours & Safaris is a member of TATO, and is involved in and supports the local programs that TATO manages.
The Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project (KPAP) is registered as a Tanzanian NGO (non-governmental organization) since January 2003. KPAP is an initiative of the International Mountain Explorers Connection, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization based out of Boulder, Colorado in the United States. KPAP’s mission is to improve the working conditions of the porters on Kilimanjaro.
Good Earth is involved in and supports local programs that KPAP manages.
The International Mountain Explorers Connection (IMEC) was founded in 1996 in Boulder, Colorado to promote responsible and sustainable connections between travelers and the people of developing mountain regions of the world. Through its Porter Assistance Project, IMEC is focusing its efforts on improving the working conditions for porters on Kilimanjaro and in Nepal.
Good Earth is involved in and supports local programs that IMEC manages.
