Within hours, he was no longer our driver/guide; he was one of us – bantering back and forth with an ease and familiarity which quickly turned into friendship. He never missed pointing out a site of interest, a beautiful bird in a bush, a chameleon on the road (which we would have missed completely), or a lion in the distant which could only be seen through binoculars by the rest of us! "Saidi was our driver & I can't brag on him enough. After spending around 12 days and 1200 miles with Saidi I can say that he is probably one of the best driver/guides in all of Tanzania. He was always prompt & organized making the safari totally "glitch" free (our itinerary was without any problems whatsoever). He truly is a professional and, as the safari progressed, one could easily tell that he really loves what he does ( I think that he got about as excited as we did when spotting something new or unusual). Also, his knowledge of the country & animals is encyclopedic. He could easily have written some of the reference material that I read before travelling to Tanzania.
