Usually it costs each trekker about $25 to $40/day to tip the entire climbing crew (Leading guide, assistant guide, porters and a cook), so, for say, a 6 days trek, it would cost you about $200 to $250 for tipping, and tipping is done at the end of trip.

The recommended tip from a group (not for each climber) are as follows:

• Leading guide: $18/day
• Assistant guide: $13/day (for each assistant guide)
• Porters: $8/day (for each porter)
• Cook: $11/day

• Tipping on the safari (from a group, and not per person):
• Driver (who is also a guide): $25/day
• Cook (in case of camping safari): $10/day

You can leave on a table (not per person) $1 to $2 per meal
